PHISH TO PLAY THREE CONCERTS

 

Phish returns to the stage for three concerts at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on March 6, 7 and 8, 2009.Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, October 18th at 10 AM EST and may be purchased online at http://ticketmaster.com

FIrst off, I love digg.com - it’s my ‘junk’. Today I saw noticed and just could not resist the temptation to point out an article on digg.com posted twice. After all, digg has a pretty good system to check for duplicate submissions - albeit up to the user to make that check. So it’s not surprising to find the occasional duplicate submission on the site, but this morning I came across one of the more astounding incidents I had ever seen


granted the submissions were only a minute apart, but both using the same headline from the same site? Really? This is where feature development would come in handy - maybe one of those new developers digg hires (see http://digg.com/jobs) would tackle that one and prehaps <sarcasm> take the burden off those persistent button pushers from acutally checking to see if someone else got to it first </sarcasm>

Blake started kindegarten on Aug 25th (which also happens to be Elizabeth’s birthday, go mama!). It’s been fun listening to him talk about what he has done in class each day, and usually he reports back that he was reading in class. He spends time with a speech therapist and has even been sent to the principal’s office to read to her, as the classroom might be a little boring for him…

A couple days ago Elizabeth told me she had an after-school talk with Blake’s speech therapist who mentioned that Blake might be hyperlexic. Neither of us had heard about it, so you can imagine our curiosity being piqued beyond anything. We went online and read a few pages about it and were pretty impressed that what we were reading was describing Blake quite accurately. Here’s a sample of what I
